How to hook it up
Driver & Application Installation (For Windows XP users only)
- SP 1 users need to get the (KB822603) file from Windows Update.
- SP 2 users already have this.
Step-By-Step Software Installation:
- When the new hardware found flashes dismiss it by clicking Cancel.
- Insert the software CD and click Winfast TV USB. Move the cursor to the Winfast TV USB II icon, select Driver to start installation.
- The Winfast TV USB II Installation window pops to display welcome info click next.
- When the Install Shield Wizard has completed the installation check yes I want to restart my computer.
- After rebooting the computer, eject the CD and insert it again. Click Winfast TV USB and move the cursor to the Winfast TV USB II icon. Select application.
- Choose the appropriate Language.
- The Install Shield Wizard shows the welcome message of the application installation. Click next to start the installation of the application.
- Install Shield will next prompt you to choose the destination location for the application.
- Install Shield starts to install the driver. The progress is shown in the Setup Status dialog box.
- During installation Microsoft Windows Media License agreement appears stating the terms of using Windows Media Player codecs. Click Yes.
- A dialog box prompts you to exit all other applications before installing the Windows Media Player codec. Click Yes.
- Another Microsoft License agreement appears stating the terms.
- The Windows Media Component Setup welcome message appears. Click Yes.
- The setup program will next ask you if you want to update your components. Click Yes.
- The setup program will show a list of components.
- The setup is now ready too install Windows Media components.

- Testing was done on a Gigabyte 8INXP WD JB 80 GB ATA IDE 0
- Seagate Barracuda 200 GB ATA HDD on Promise 2027 controller
- 1 Gig OCZ 3500/3200
- Memorex DVD Combo Drive IDE 1, NEC DVD 3520a DVD Burner IDE 2 Promise Controller.
- On-board SPDIF Optical out using Realtek beta 5780 drivers.
