**Join the Athlon Folding Team!!!**

That's right, we've got a new ABXZone folding team, and we're looking to rock the charts!!! If you want to join, simply join under the name [AB]Team_AthlonPower. Want to see you machine reaching into the top 10! Add you're box to our distributed farm!

Remember Any AMD Athlon, Athlon XP, Athlon 64/X2/FX or Opteron can now fold under this team's banner.

All you have to do to join is change your name (Insructions stolen from Mikki who stole them form SLM CrewChief):
All you have to do is edit the client.cfg file. Open it with notepad. In the place where it says username= "XXX" just change it so it says username=[AB]Team_AthlonPower We still fold for ABXZone, under the same team number, we're just a sub-group (but we'll be the power subgroup

) Please note that there is no space between the "[AB]" and the "Team_AthlonPower" part of the name (and don't include the quotes).

If you're new to folding, make sure you set up your console under Team #1714, and then set your name to [AB]Team_AthlonPower (has to be exact)...thanks for the tip Sup Dawg!

Hope you guys don't mind the name - I looked at some of the suggestions and tried to incorporate them while keeping the name from getting too long, but also trying to have a style similar to the teams before us.

Some of the guys who were talking about this wanted to prefix the team name with "Asusboards_", I shortenend it to [AB]. The point, I suppose, is to make it clear that we are still folding for Asusboards even when looking only at the "individual" name. I just didn't want the name to get too long (wasn't sure if some stats pages or monitoring programs would truncate it).

If people prefer just "Team_AthlonPower" or want the full "Asusboards_Team_AthlonPower" please speak up today! I alrealy have work units underway. I'm not at 100% yet because of some wireless network problems.

I hope other's like it and join in

Good luck XJ!!! We all know the advantage Athlons have in folding, so this is going to be some serious competition--head start or not! I'm gonna have to start recruiting harder...

Since I no longer am in the running for the top spot and no chance in hell of ever regaining it, I wouldn't have a problem splitting up my rigs...only thing is it would be hard to monitor my own progress?

I currently have 4 AMD processors, 2 P4's, and one lonely Celeron...changes are coming still - and probably always...

Thanks Guys!

Ozzie - you'll need to use something like Weatherman's Electron Microscope to track you individual performance if you want finer grained information. Otherwise, we just all sit back and cheer as [AB]Team_AthlonPower rockets up the charts! Top 10 for sure - maybe the top 5

Ugh - all my client.cfg files got erased :bigcry: Now it'll probably be another a day or two before new WUs start showing up under [AB]Team_AthlonPower (Darn, and I've got at least one big one crunching).

Build it and they will come....build it and they will come....
