Unfortunately Newegg is still shipping a mix of C0 and D0 steppings, so it's a crap-shoot ordering from them**. I've found that I can get D0s at Tankguys, don't know much about them. So... any comments on Tankguys or where else I can get D0 chips online would be appreciated.

TIA!

**Too bad too, I would have gotten $20 extra off for the combo with the P6T.

Which OS support Turbo boost?

A lot of new Motherboards support Turbo boost for the i7, i5, new Xeons, in BIOS.

However Intel states that once enabled turbo boost runs under the control of the Operating system.

Does someone know which Operating systems are Turbo boost aware?
And what if any Service Packs need to be applied?

*Specifically if you want to game in XP, or Linux will you be stuck in the processors base speed? *

This question might not seem too important if your processor will only step up one or two bins, but if you are like me considering the Xeon L3426, you don't want to be stuck in 1.8GHz if you were planning on one core to rev up to 3.2GHz
