Other icons on the desktop are unchanged. The program icons in the start menu also changed. All the icons work normally. I have thoroughly searched for solutions without success. I have successfully deleted the IconCache.db file multiple times and in multiple ways without benefit. There is no change with icon size change or with desktop color change. The problem still exists when I start in Safe Mode. No change when running last good configuration or system repair. This is a Dell laptop with all Vista updates. My guess is some little corruption in the registry. If anyone has more ideas or suggestions, I would love to hear them.
