8800GTS(G92)512 Artifacts (XPsp3)

Has anyone else encountered strange "seeing stars"-type artifacts around icons and window edges after installing this card? I had the NF68_P31.exe bios installed for my 680i MB and the 169.24 graphics driver for my 6800 card before I put in the 8800. Now every three or four boots I get these wierd little pixel-sized anomolies around the edges of screen fonts, icons and window edges -apparently anywhere there is a contrast edge. I updated to the NF68_P32.exe bios but it is still happenning. Any help would be appreciated.

-p.s. SP3 ran smooth for a month or two with the 6800 with none of this.
