| Or return the 9800 and get a new one.. I mean this isn't worth it.. I refuse to believe that the card is OK.. I've had a 9700 and 9800 and I have yet to have problems except when it was the SIS **** which had nothing to do with ATi and I fixed with an Intel mobo. Simon

Since I'm passing by the forum again, you may be interested in knowing that installing Windows XP w/ slipstreamed SP1 on the very same rig, with the same CATALYST 03.4, solved my crashing issues. That was a couple of months ago now... Weird, uh? I'm left to think ATi drivers for their new line of boards aren't, or at least weren't as well proof-tested under Windows 2000 than under XP (upgraded to 03.6 on my 2k partition but didn't try any serious gaming with it... I'll be leaving that to XP from now on). Big thanks go to all the people who replied.
