| AIW 9800 Pro OCing? check my sig for specs. unfortunately, the 9800 pro has no temp guage on it. a good enough reason in itself to upgrade. i have my mem and processor overclocked, and was hoping there was something i could do with my vid card. it has the stock little HS/F. when i am running game, the heatsink is scorching hot to the touch, which makes me very hesitant to overclock it at all. it already hot, and i dont have any kind of a temperature guage. i use the latest omega drivers that comes with the 'radlinker' prog for overclocking. would you guys suggest something different?

| Overclocking your vidcard won't give you much benefit except in benchies, but brings a much higher risk of burning up your GPU. I really don't advise doing it inless you have much better cooling for the vidcard. |

| I have the VGA Silencer H/S & fan on it with AS5... and even IT gets scorching hot!! The size of this h/s vs. the stock is like 10x... just to give you an idea.... If it's like your secondary gfx card.. then go for it.. but if its primary gfx... just understand the risks involved..... if something happens... makes a good excuse to upgrade.... |
