| Asus 8600GT + GamerOSD = Help I posted this over at Asus forums awhile back with out any response, may be someone here can help. I am having problems with GamerOSD software, when I install the Asus video drivers computer reboots OK then I install GamerOSD and computer reboots my login screen comes up and I enter my password and then it just sits at the loading screen. If I go into safe mode computer boots no problems, I tried using msconfig to stop GamerOSD from starting at boot but that does not help, the only reason I can think of is that GamerOSD installed an enhanced driver under device manager which is probably causing the system not to boot. I don’t really want to use GamerOSD but with out it I don’t get splendid option in my display properties which I like since my PC is used as a media center and splendid does make movies and TV tuner look better. Any help would be appreciated. |

| Re: Asus 8600GT + GamerOSD = Help Uninstall GamerOSD, and just use the drivers from Nvidia's website. They have the digitial vibrance control in them, that makes everything including games brighter. I never installed that extra ASUS junk with my 640MB ASUS 8800GTS.

| Re: Asus 8600GT + GamerOSD = Help Always use the nvidia drivers right from nvidia's site. Never use the ones they ship with the video cards.

| Re: Asus 8600GT + GamerOSD = Help Thank you for your replies, Splendid is not like digitial vibrance control, it is a special video overlay that works very good I used it in XP before. I use my PC as a media center and movies and TV are more important than games for me  so I don’t care if I get less frame rates with Asus drivers. |
