ATI 7.2 Problems

I tried installing the new 7.2, but when windows loads up, I get a error message stating " Catalyst Control Centre: Command Line Interface has encountered a problem and needs to close." and then CCC won't load up.
I uninstalled the old drivers in safe mode and use driver cleaner pro. I disabled antivirus before installling also. I have installed twice now and same results. Thansk for any help with this.

Re: ATI 7.2 Problems

This has been along time ago now, But I eventually had to completely uninstall net framework (all of them, 1.0 to 3.0) and had to completely remove all traces of them from my registery before then reinstalling the net frameworks. After that I was able to reinstall ATI CCC succesfully.
I believe microsoft has a tool to fix remove the registery errors from netframework so that it may be reinstalled correctly, atleast this was my problem.
After fixing this I was able to update ATI's CCC to everynew update up until 8.2 when I gave up on ATI and went back to NVIDIA.
If I was at home I may be able to of gave you more details and possibly links to help you with this. Good Luck.
