Lightbulb

Sure are some interesting release notes on the 6.XX and 7.XX detonators found on that site!

Will try the new drivers when I get home...

Thumbs up 7.52 - A worthy update

I have installed the new detonators ver 7.52 and I must say its the biggest performance boost Ive had in a while. Im actually quite impressed. I have scored approximately *120* extra 3D marks running default benchmark!! I think thats quite cool. I havent had increases like that using new drivers since the days of my P3V4X where AGP driver updates gave me like 200 extra 3DMarks etc. I have seen no such increases in any of my driver updates for my CUSL2-C. Anyway just go and get the drivers they rock. http://<a href="http://www.reactorcr...itical.com</a>

I heard GeForce 3 is out on the day coinciding with these drivers so they may have added GeForce 3 support. Actually just peeking in the INF and theres a line for "NV20". Well there you go.

Anyone got one yet????

Well, well -- finally a 7.xx series driver that competes with the 6.47 and after. Same approximate scores 3DMark2000 as 6.47, 6.67. No glitches-- running these with DirectX 8.0a, Win 98se, 933 P3, 256Mb Mushkin HP Rev2 (2@128) on the -C mobo. GeForce 2 GTS 32mb. Frame rates roughly same in various games that I was able to try... worth experimenting with! I am leaving the 7.52 in place on my machine.

Question

Hi,

Anyone figured out how to get 'coolbits' working with this version?

Cheers

But there seems to be a flashing problem so I wouldn't suggest it.

I've been using 6.47 for awhile. I decided to try this release so I uninstalled 6.47 first. I rebooted and was prompted for the location of the new drivers. I directed it correctly but it couldn't find any information about my device. Wrong OS? Nope it was the win2k version. Corrupted? Nope. So I reinstalled 6.47 (urggg!) and then I tried to update the drivers without uninstalling.
I selected update driver, directed it and this time it found information and listed all the nvidia graphic cards. My ultra was listed as well.

Why would it do this only if the device was already recognized? If I was to just go ahead and install over the ones currently installed, would uninstallation be an issue?

Any ideas anyone?

Ah yes I can tell you that that is simply a Windows bug. I have that with 98SE all the time , and 95 at work etc etc. I wouldnt worry!
