| EVGA Lifetime warranty does not cover New/Sealed purchases from Ebay Just was wanting to let everyone know that New/Sealed EVGA items are not covered under the EVGA Warranty, even though it does not state so in the terms. EVGA themselves telling a custumer he is out of luck: _ttp://evga.com/community/messageboard/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=25610 Beware what you purchase. Can we make this a sticky so new people will know? | What is actually very important too, is that to get the lifetime warranty you have to register your product within 30 days of the initial purchase date. EVGA FAQ Help Center Quote:

| This may very well be why the Ebay purchases aren't covered under life time warranty. If it is new and sealed, it is highly unlikely that the person would have registered the product within 30 days of the initial purchase date. The Ebay auction would not be the initial retail purchase of the product. I wonder what they would say about Ebay stores. That would put the Ebay stores at a serious disadvantage. Quote:

| From what I read from Stickpin's thread is that Ebay is an auction site, therefore not retail. This means that the persons selling the product cannot qualify as an authorized dealer. His product was sealed, brand new, and in obvious perfect retail condition. He also mentions that the dealer notes a lifetime warranty on the auction, which is his major gripe. I understand his position completely, but I am all to familiar of what others think and what something truly is-Caveat Emptor. I am familiar with this for my father, retired, makes his income off of Ebay now. He always calls to confirm that the warranties are valid before posting. If not he does mention accordingly. The only reason for him to be as thorough is due to the fact that he is an accountant and is very familiar with protocols and procedures. I personally wish they would bite the bullet on this one. |

| I know this is a little late but i thought it was worth mentioning. I purchased two brand new eVGA video cards and neither worked currectly. I then purchased another video card from another manufacturer and it worked perfectly and still does. I will never recommend or buy a eVGA product ever again, this warrenty issue just adds to it.
