Yes, those P4EE's are hard to beat. Shamino has one that gets killer clocks.

Well an update...

Yesterday, I finally decided try out a 3rd party heat sink and went for the Thermaltake Giant3 since so many X800Pro users here are using it.

But!, no one warned me how bloody sharp the inside of the front Giant3 heatsink was  I went to pick up the front heatsink of the Gaint3 and the bloody inside sharp edges of the heatsink ripped into my finger - cutting 1cm x 1cm 'L' shaped gash into my typing finger My finger didn't stop bleeding for a full 5 mins

Decided to do the heatsink change another day for fear of cutting open my other fingers LOL

Fast forward to today. This time being extra careful handling the Giant3 heatsink, I managed to install it on my Gecube X800Pro and my god have the temps dropped even compared to my 128x38mm Delta 190cfm fan!

This is the progression:

stock heatsink
GPU Idle: 34-36C
GPU Load: 60-66C

190cfm fan with stock heatsink
GPU Idle: 28-30C
GPU Load: 44-48C

TT Giant 3 with ceramique paste
GPU Idle: 27-29C
GPU Load: 40-45C

The core had white type of paste on it already when I lifted the stock heatsink ?? The core numbers:

Gecube X800Pro
R420
215RAACGA11F
GB8812.1
0419AA
Taiwan

Will bench now to see if 5 minutes of bleeding was worth it LOL
