"Voodoo5, which was physically incompatible with some of the Pentium4 boards has almost dissapered from the horizon, but it looks like we have a really nice "follower" for it... GeForce3. According to eyewitnesses, a Pentium4 system with GeForce3 is quite unstable, in some cases, even dynamic test could not be passed."

I've read it and,
Ha Ha HA HA, nVidia kind of missed something.
I assume the only people that would shell out for GF3 would probably have P4 systems.
And their news release that the GF3 is optimized for the P4.

I agree it was probably Nvidia's screw up ...

but everyone who would forego a Geforce 3 for the privilege of owning a P4, PLEASE RAISE YOUR HANDS!!!

I'm definitely keeping my hands in my lap.

and I think most people who love gaming would agree. Give me a fast PIII or even an AMD with a nice Geforce 3 Ultra and I'll be happy ...

until the next thing comes along!

Cheers!

Tam

It may be but do you think Nvidia is going to have a harder time selling GeForce3's or Intel unloading P4's and RDRAM, with all of the "glowing" reviews it's getting? The best thing the P4 performed at was Quake benchmarks and now the fastest vid card won't work with it

Ouch! This is bad news for Intel and nVidia.

Does anyone know if the Radeon has a problem with P4? If so, then what's left? The chipset video maybe? Or is there an atitel consortium going on here?

Hope this problem gets fixed before XP comes out.

I haven't heard of a problem with the Radeon, yet...

nVidia, I heard should have the problem cleared up by the time the cards show up on the shelf.

DIGITLIFE says,

GeForce3 seems to be optimized for Pentium4.

Its all #$%

The latest rumours say that THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS WITH GEFORCE 3 AND PENTIUM 4!!!!!!!!

Probably just rumours started by AMD-hypers.
