Graphical errors in xiii demo?

I think the attached picture does a better job of explaining it.. My 9800 non-pro is oc-ed to pro speeds, but it's been able to run everything I've thrown at it without a hitch.. Unreal 2, UT2k3, RON, HL, CS, the Halo beta, Call of Duty demo, Homeworld 2 demo, BF1942 and Viet Cong...

I've noticed that the checkboard thing always happens in the same place(the curtains).. Is it just a problem with the demo or is my 9800 oc'ed too high.. I downclocked it to normal speeds but the graphical error still occured..

Well silly me.. I forgot to attach the file.. Anyway, the image is pretty small, so I'll elaborate.. There seems to be a checkerboard pattern on the curtain and the bar it's hanging on to.. Where it's supposed to be yellow, some parts are brown..

After looking reaaaally closely I kind of see it - squares in a checker pattern.

Do you have AA or AF enabled? It wouldn't be surprising to me if either one of those or both interfered with the way the engine renders the cell shaded environment (unless it doesn't render it live, but rather they're just textures. . . )
