Hi

I have an ati radeon 9000, and it keeps messing up.

It will either freeze and then go to a messed up huge display or make the comp bluescreen.

Ive turned hardware acceleration off but it doesnt help!

any ideas?

thanks in advance

Try the fix in post no. 7 of the following thread. I strongly suspect it will fix your problem, or at least make it happen far less often:

A7M266: ati2dvag.dll infinite loop. Hopeless?

Re: graphics card ati malfunctions

Download Driver Sweeper from guru3D Guru3D - Driver Sweeper (Setup) download from Guru3D.com .....and install it...
Download latest ATI 9000 driver from Drivers & Software
Uninstall Card through add/remove programs....
Restart
Boot into Safe Mode (F8)
Run Driver Sweeper and have it get rid of ATI Display Driver leftovers
Restart
Install latest ATI Catalyst Control Center and Display Drivers
Restart the final time

That should at least eliminate any problems with your drivers.....

If card still messes up after that----you may have a piece of hardware that has just gone bad----that card is old----but you can check with ATI to see if it has a lifetime warranty----most ATI branded cards do
