| Setup: CUSL2 w/o onboard audio (with video, but disabled) 1006A BIOS Matrox Millenium G450 in AGP slot 3com 905c-tx NIC in PCI slot 4 Windows 98 Pretty much all the latest drivers and flashes, although earlier combos have been tried too. No matter what I seem to do, I can't get the card to get an IRQ assigned. I've tried reserving one in the bios, turning off most of the extra features on the motherboard, turning PnP on and off, and installing the drivers for the mobo and g450 in different orders... nothing works. On boot-up, the bios always says display controller NA when listing the attached hardware, and the system control panel never shows the matrox, even when there are free IRQs. Obviously, direct X doesn't work in this situation. I would prefer running 98 over 2k. What should I try next? |
