| Help pick a video card out, Im lost here... I just got help building a system: Please help me pick a board for a Q6700 I'll sum up: ABIT IX38 Quad GT LGA 775 Intel X38 E8400 4GB OCZ REaper 1066 Ram now I need a card, the mb has 2 pci express 16 2.0 ports I am not a gamer but would like to encode some movies, most of all I am sick of my .mkv HD files stuttering an HDTV I would like to view on at times. I am a heavy Photoshop user and on Poser doesn't work right with ATI cards on Vista. Can anyone help me make sense of all these new cards? |

| Re: Help pick a video card out, Im lost here... Yes, there's a lot of good stuff to choose from in that series. As you may realize, Nvidia actually doesn't make the video cards, just the chips, and I think ATI also has pretty much phased out of making cards. EVGA is one of the most highly regarded among many card-makers. Since the cards are all built around the same graphics processor chips, the main differences between makers (for a given configuration) are quality, support, and in some cases overclocking that is designed into some of them.
