| I hit an upper 220 at one point. I think for the most part I avg in the 70-80 range. I am more then happy with these settings. If it wasn't for FB I would be playing a lower setting. I figured I would see what my system could do when he posted that he wanted a comparison. Though it will be interesting to see some more other people's responses. I'm still debating if I wanna throw in another gig of memory to bring my total to 2gigs or not. Then I gotta decide if I wanna sell my old stuff or get the same thing, since I kind of cringe of the thought of getting a different type of memory in there.(I would stay with the DDR433)

| Installed and played til I got the rail cars. This game just simply rocks. I spend more time trying to interact with the enviroment than anything else. Right now I'm using the game settings at High, which it defaulted to. Only changes were changing the water reflection to all instead default world. Left AA at 4 x , but changed AF to 16 x. Might change back to 8 x AF. Didn't see much difference. Playing at 1024 x 768. Gameplay is smooth. I'm using fraps to get my framerate and its pretty much in line with FB and alien resident. Seen rate as high as 200 indoors, but averaging 60-90 outdoors. Lowest was mid 30s. Also using 61.77 drivers. |

If your rig can run constantly at 60fps, you will never see a slowdown--because unless you have EXCEPTIONAL sight, you won't notice anything. :P It's all numbers, baby, after that.

Personally though, I would still fold in my off time when not using my system for cpu intensive applications, that is if my university network connection hadn't blocked F@H | |
