| I am reading the great instructions posted by Judgementday from the link on Radboys tips off of the homepage. they are excellent and just what a newbie like me needs but i have one question. I guess the main difference between the CUSL2 and the CUSL2-C is there is no onboard video . How do i install my monitor? I guess what I really mean to say is when do i install my video card? If it matters it is a radeon DDR Agp. Thanks in advance. |

| Well, obviously you would physically install the video card before you close the case after installing the motherboard itself. Just firmly insert it in the AGP slot. Make sure it is well seated in the AGP slot, or you may have trouble starting your computer. The order I use when installing the OS and drivers is the following, and it works beautifully: 1. the os (duh) 2. the intel inf driver 3. the intel ultra ata storage driver 4. directx 8.0a 5. video card drivers 6. sound card drivers 7. any other drivers (NIC for example, or your monitor) If you have a SB Live!, I suggest reserving IRQ5 for legacy/ISA PnP devices in the BIOS (advanced, PCI configuration, PCI/PNP IRQ Resource Exclusion). I think it's a better solution than disabling SB16 emulation in Windows. |
