| Not enough power to run card??? Hello: I just bought a few new parts for a new rig, nothing to crazy but when i turned on my system after all was installed i got the error saying that there wasnt enough power going to my video card to be at its best. The PSU i have now, its lil older but i figure it would still be able to do the job Newegg.com - XION PowerReal XON-600F14T-201 600W ATX12V SLI Ready Power Supply - Power Supplies The video card i got Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N975-AR GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards Then i read that it needs "Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply. (Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 26 Amp Amps.)" So after looking at the specs on my PSU im guessing i cant give the video card the power it needs..........right? Also bought Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory any help you can give to suggest a psu that not breaking the bank would be great. thanks for your time. |

| Re: Not enough power to run card??? The power supply you have has two 12V rails at 22A. The card says 26. So yes, there is a problem. How many power connectors does the card have? If it has two, you can try connecting one rail to each and you would be ok. |
