Looks like an interesting card and makes me wonder about the purchase of a 9800 Pro that I've been considering. On the other hand if Nvidia is making only PCI express cards it seems like they're shooting themselves in the foot and really limiting the market.

"The GeForce 6600-series is intended for platforms equipped with PCI Express x16 slots; “bridged” AGP flavours of the GeForce 6600-series may be available at a later date."

It's not certain it'll only be PCI express...they might also release an AGP version later on. Another review I read on the 6600 stated that they would be making AGP versions as well, so we'll have to wait and see to be sure. Only downside to the AGP version will be that the SLI connector on the 6600GT will be absent.

LOL Skully - you're dating you self now - that is ancient history (in computer years)

Seriously though, this would be a real nice card once NF4 motherboards and the like come along. Buy one card one year for ~$175, then next year add another for ~$100 to handle newer game titles - sweet. As it is the 6600's look like the GF4 4200's in terms of price/performance - add to that the expandiblity and I think it's a winner! [hopefully boards with 2*16 PCI-E slots (32 lanes) + at least 8 more lanes don't wind up costing > $200].

You will need to update your motherboard for the PCI Express
