| Hi y'all Radeon lovers ! Can anyone send some tips this way on, so called, "Radeon Tweaker" - it's some kind of an open source with different Radeon tweaks - I just wonder if it is safe/worth(simple..) to try it, and what are the VISIBLE benefits at this time...??? PIII 933@1008 2x256mc 1003 Radeon32ddr Regards, Bajo.

| The 'gtk' created Tweaker is OK but I like the PowerStrip tweaker that is posted on the rage3d web site. The 'gtk' Tweaker does get better with each revision though. It does not seem to be a problem to use more than one tweaker. PowerStrip so far is the only that allows oc'ing the card but things are changing so fast with revised tweaker, I could easily be wrong about there being only one oc'ing tweaker. Be prepared with the 'gtk' Tweaker - it is using gtk which is the "GNU toolkit for X windows development." GNU is a recursive acronym for "GNU's Not Unix'' This means that when you use the software that the normal Windows interface is replaced with the gtk. Therefore the GUI interface may appear strange to you unless you have used X windows in the Unix-flavored environments. |

| Shoot....man, Thanks, pointreyes, but...geeez - did not get a single thing here..I guess I better not mess with that stuff... Anyway, as I asked - what are the VISIBLE benefits at THIS time, if any...!? Best regards, Bajo.

| In the current Radeon drivers, the HierarchicalZ feature of the card will give issues with certain games (Project IGI for example). You can disable the feature with Radeon Tweaker. Furthermore, you can fiddle with some image quality settings like FSAA, alpha blending methods, and more. The Radeon Tweaker is actually pretty good, IMHO. It has the nicest interface of the available tweakers (as pointreyes mentioned, it's different than a standard Windows interface, but I like it), and it comes with documentation on (most of) the settings. Only problem is that you can't overclock: you still need powerstrip to do that. |

| Thanks y'all ! ...Guess I'm still too green for all this - I'll just let ATI handle the Radeon, for now...heh. Regardz, Bajo.
