| Troubles with 3870X2 and 3Dmark06 Hey crew I have a really big problem, after upgrading my rig I'am getting so low 3Dmark scores that I'am ready to go and kill myself ) Ok, for comparing, till now I've been running Q6600 @ 3000 + 4GB + 2 x 3870 in CF, and I was able to get a 18000+ score in 3Dmark06 Now my new rig Q9450 @ 3.2 + 8GB + 3870X2 gives me a score of 9800 - 10500, what now?????? I'am running cat 8.3, with my old system I was running cat 7.12, noting got changed except the CPU, VGA and RAM. Also I've tried with the older bios, it gives me some message about an unknown CPU, but thats about it, again same result, I've tried to excange my CPU with a E8400 @ 3.6, again the same thing Oh yes, my CPU score is so low that I can't beleve, only 2000 points? Any words of wisdom before I throw my rig through the nearest window??? RaVeN_1

| Re: Troubles with 3870X2 and 3Dmark06 Just wondering if you did a clean OS install when you did the upgrade? PITA, I know, but I would have. Completely getting rid of the original drivers you know.

Oh, yes, the windows is a clean install + all updates from WU ( no SP3 RC2 patch ) So, for now, no CFX support under WXP, but I'll try to install the devils child called Vista ( 64bit of course ) and will try out 3870X2 + 3870 + Cat 8.3 ( 8.3 works well under Vista ), well before I install Vista, I'll upgrade my MB to a Rampage Formula ( since I can excange my Maximus Formula ) RaVeN_1
