| Visiontek Radeon 3870X2 bios fix For those that have the Visiontek Radeon 3870X2, and have issues with the fan and Powerplay which is the feature of the card that powers down the card, when not gaming, where the Powerplay slows down the card in the middle of a game, there is a new bios for the card which fixes these issues. The part number of Visiontek Radeon 3870X2, must begin with 102B4, otherwise the bios fix does not apply. It was posted on the Visiontek forums. | Re: Visiontek Radeon 3870X2 bios fix You're Welcome. All Radeon 3870X2's are affect by this problem sadly, from what I was able to find out. Whoever you go with for one, check with them if they have the latest bios from ATI/AMD for the card, and flash to it. My Visiontek Radeon 3870X2, was affected by this issue, but I didn't know what it was until today. I updated to the latest bios for my card.
