| Re: Windows Server 2008 Enterprise RC1 with Hyper-V beta for download I got Server 2008 Enterprise with Hyper-V on my test laptop. I put XP64 on as a guest. It does a little better than VMWare did last time I tried that, the speed is improved, not great but better. It's definitely designed for corporate use. There's no sound, no USB, and no frills like seamless mode or much tweaks. It's designed for server consolidation primarily, and everything about it is centered around easing administration of multiple guests (er.. "child partitions") running on different servers in different places. A perfect scenario would be one ultra-spec'd server running a few headless Server 2008 VM's. For the hobby VM tinkerer it's not really going to be a good fit.
