| Bye Bye Vista again for the 3rd time. Im getting so sick of this damn OS not working the way it should be. I keep getting low system memory even tho i have 2gb of memory and only 40% is being used. I have 3gb of page filing vista is using and still get the error. My sound cards are having issues now with sp1 installed my 5.1 setting will not work anymore. This operation system is a big joke and needs to be killed. I guess ill have to wait for sp2 now.

| Re: Bye Bye VIsta again for the 3rd time. Wow!!! Sorry to hear that..... I am having totally the opposite effect with 4 different desktops and 2 different laptops. A nice, solid, bump up with the addition of SP1. In fact----the speed has improved so much for me that the only things I tune anymore is shutting off the sidebar and UAC.... And I don't even use ReadyBoost anymore.... Even the disk pounding has gone away and I now leave on Search and Indexing. I even have a Creative X-Fi on my main machine that seems fine with Vista SP1----and if anyone can have a fuzzy OS/Driver combination----it's Creative...... Wonder why you are having such an opposite experience..........

| Re: Bye Bye VIsta again for the 3rd time. Have you tried this hotfix? It sounds like it wasn't part of SP1 Error message when you try to copy files from a Windows Vista-based computer to another computer by using Windows Explorer: "Out of memory There is not enough memory to complete this operation"

| Re: Bye Bye VIsta again for the 3rd time. Creative has new X-Fi Drivers (March 14) if that's the sound card you have. I haven't tried them yet since my system with the x-fi seems fine..... I AM curious on what Asus is coming up with for sound lately.... and to tell the truth----On board High Def Azelia audio is quite good.... with today' high powered processors and multi cores-----the days of sound cards are probably numbered.... Now if it only had that darn EAX..... Which I REALLY like for gaming.....

| Re: Bye Bye VIsta again for the 3rd time. My Intel 975XBX2 motherboard has STAC 7.1 audio with Dolby Prologic IIx decoding, and I can tell you this, it's very comparable to my HT Omega Claro. I dropped back to WindowsXP, for the time being thanks to Nvidia's POS Vista drivers, with which I had a BSOD Friday night. Needless to say, I ordered me a Radeon 3870X2 videocard, which will probably be in by Friday, and then I might put Vista 64 back on my system.
