| Digital Camera on Vista I'm definitely gonna stick with Windows Vista 64. Hooked up my digital camera, to offload some pictures I took, and Vista on detecting my digital camera, installed the built in driver for my digital camera, and brought up autoplay to import the pictures for my digital camera. No having to go out to Fujifilm's website, to download a driver, and software to import pictures.

| Re: Digital Camera on Vista I don't get the point. XP did that for my Olympus digital SLR. Does some other version of Vista not do it? |

| Re: Digital Camera on Vista With WindowsXP I had to go download a driver for my digital camera, but not so with Windows Vista. I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, which has all the multimedia stuff built in to it.

| Re: Digital Camera on Vista wow, I never saw a camera that XP didn't recognize before.... I really miss the camera and scanner wizard in XP though.. The one in Vista is forcing me to rethink my picture hierarchy and move to one that's based more on tags than folders.

| Re: Digital Camera on Vista I've got the Fujifilm Finepix F480, and WindowsXP doesn't recognize the camera off the bat. Had to go get a driver from Fujifilm for this on XP. Vista detected it and installed a driver for it right away.

| Re: Digital Camera on Vista ATINUT? I see you have a Fuji also, vista ultimate 64 bit too! I can not get my card reader to see the xd picture card from the camera. Can I replace the xd card with mem card? Or are you using an xd card also?

I can use either XD or SD memory cards in my camera. Yes, you can replace the XD memory with an SD memory card, if your camera can use an SD memory card.

| Re: Digital Camera on Vista Ok thanks, I can hook it up and use it no problem with usb.(Cable a pain). But when I'm out on a jobsite it is so nice to just pull the card. But 64 bit Ult. just tells me I need to format it before I can use it. I'll try a mem card instead of xd card. Thanks john PS, I am however curios if you still have the xd card that came with your camera and whether or not it works. BTW, I'm using an Asus G1S laptop with a ricoh 4in1 card reader w/ drivers up to date. Thanks again john

| Re: Digital Camera on Vista slightly off topic - funny thing with my setup, pictures download faster, a lot faster, from the camera than when I stick the CF card in the card reader. |
