| ReadyBoost drive mounting idea While toying with the idea of moving to Vista 64 and adding a ReadyBoost usb drive, I imagined a way to make the drive less obtrusive. While using a rear port to mount the drive puts it pretty decently out of the way, I think it'd be even better to mount the drive on the inside of the case. Since there are always a couple of USB port headers on the motherboard that are supposed to go to brackets on the rear or front of the case, a small block that transforms one set of header pins into a USB port maybe a half inch long would allow a USB stick to be plugged in right at the source, so to speak. (if the other end was a normal USB connection) Just an idea. Something that would be even cooler would be an internal USB port that could accept a USB stick mounted parallel to the motherboard, for real form efficiency. |

| Re: ReadyBoost drive mounting idea I have a added usb2 pci card that has a internal usb port and i plug my pen drive right into there. I also have a extra rear usb bracket that goes into opening where a pci card goes. I just removed the bracket off and leave it inside my machine. Theres a lot of ideas you can do if dont like leaving your usb pen drive showing. Also if you have a monitor with a usb hub built in plug the pen drive in the back port for you will never see it.

| Re: ReadyBoost drive mounting idea My current Rig is a Desktop Replacement Laptop so I just keep 2GB Sandisk Extreme III SD Card plugged in at all times. Since the Slot is built right in the side, this works great!!
