Which Services can be Shutdown?

PC World magazine suggests shutting down some of the Window's Services to help speed things up. They recommend visiting the Black Viper web site.

http://www.blackviper.com/

The Black Viper site shows tables for Vista, XP and 2000. The table shows the default settings for the various versions of Vista and recommendations on what to change the services to (automatic, manual, disable). On the table, you can click on the service name and get an explanation of what the service is.

I think it's time for me to revisit this - I upgraded my notebook from home to ultimate and see there are more services running now.
