Re: Vista DRM

Seems that HD-DVD and Bluray dvd along with the HDCP support is what vista is having trouble with.

30 inches or bigger?

The article says a 30 inch or bigger Samsung will not display 1080 HD due to lack of proper inputs for vista. However, nowhere did Bott say he went and bought a large Samsung monitor and hooked it up to vista and verified Samsung's advertising.

Sharpe is a 32in LCD and the Vizio is a 42in Plasma. The samsung's must not have HDCP.

Right. But Samsung claims you can use a converter cable or adapter to plug into the DVI input on the monitor and get 1080 HD. Bott did not personally test the claim. As we know from being consumers, sometimes we read on a website about how the manufacturer hopes it works.

An adopter should be easy to find. And cheaper too.

This is obviously someone on M$'s payroll, writing propaganda while suckling Bill Gate$$$$$$'s teat. MIKKKRO$$$$$$$$$OFT!!!!!!!

All kidding aside, I'm sure this insightful article will be completely ignored and bypassed by the Vista haters. In their minds, Microsoft wrote Vista specifically to subjugate and restrict. They think MP3 files don't play, and AVIs will no longer work, and just clicking an icon causes money to be siphoned out of your checking account and used to pay for Steve Ballmer's nose trimming sessions....

...but they've never used Vista.
