Re: Vista SP1 available

Not available on windows update yet for some reason. I downloaded from above already , but would feel better about it to see it show up in WU before I install it. Unless I've got something configured wrong.

Anyone else see it through WU ?

Re: Vista SP1 available

The above mentioned is only a 32 bit installer. Any links for 64?

Re: Vista SP1 available

Don't know why I could not find that link. But, it seems I will not get any SP1 on WU because of the crappy RealTek audio drivers and Asus's crappy customer support as far as updating drivers goes. Have these two companies not had enough time to get there s__t together, since SP1 has been in the works for how long!!! Not to mention Ricoh!!

How would realtek and asus stop you from getting updates?

Re: Vista SP1 available

Because WU is denying SP1 from being detected on systems with certain drivers installed on the system.

yes this is true...I read an article about that this morning...apparently Windows Update will recognize PCs with drivers that may be problematic and postpone offering SP1 to those PCs until it has installed corrected drivers or other applicable updates

SP1 made a huge difference on my main rig (Ultimate 64), I'm almost tempted to try putting Home premium back on mommas laptop with 1 gig of ram and SP1 just to see how it runs.
