Will Vista Home Premium 64 Bit work OK with 2 GB of Ram?

I currently have 2 x 1 GB of Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC8500 on my Asus P5E. Looking to upgrade Vista to 64 Bit. Right now...I need to spend money on new hard drives, since my 2 x 74 GB Raptors are running out of room. Looking into 2 x WD6400AAKS 640 GB drives in RAID 0 and waiting to upgrade the memory down the road. Will I notice slowdowns with 2 GB of ram?

Any advice is welcome...

Thanks

Bob

I have read that some of the new large high density drives are faster than a Raptor.

2 gigs is just fine (4 is better of course), with the price of ram as of late it's almost a non issue though..

Only in peak read/write speed. The faster seek rate and tuning in firmware really show up with heavier multitasking and whenever you are hitting the HD hard with smaller read/writes.

I only run 2Gb of memory on Vista x64 with 4Gb of USB flash memory I had kicking around which I purely use for readyboost.

Everything is responsive and quick to load here.
