Old news to me, I've known about this for close to 2 weeks.

I'm already running the 64bit version without problems.

I am going to hold off on my laptop. I don't like the idea of un-installing the eval copy and installing the new one. I will wait for the final.

I did a complete backup before I installed SP1 eval on my desktop. I will restore that before I install the final. I read that some people recommend a fresh install before installing the final. And, not using the uninstall for the eval

But, I don't know if that will be necessary. MS said you can unistall the eval. Just wait an hour or two after before installing the final. I guess it takes a while for Vista to completely un-install the eval copy.

It seemed to just about re-build the whole program. I had to replace some dill files to get my custom theme back.

I just installed it. Are there any new programs with this SP1 copy?

Re: Windows Vista Service Pack 1 RC Public Availability Program

My hardrive score went up around 275 points in PCMARK06. From my old record score. It could be just my ISP service today, but my Internet feels much faster since the upgrade.
