Front Page Improvements - Suggestions Thread

So the new front page has generated some amount of discussion here at ABX. However, most people share the opinion that it can be greatly improved to provide users with more relevant information.

Here's what I'd like to see on the front page when I visit ABX.

1) My personal information: last time visited, new posts since last visit, personal messages, online friends ...

2) Stats: Users/guests online, new posts since last visit, most popular threads, subscribed threads updated since last visit, etc ...

3) Folding: Team 1714 stats, 24 hour production stats, top folders, etc ..

Could someone do a mockup of a front page with all these elements? It would be a much more informative and functional front page if all this information was incorporated.

What do you guys think?

Removing the top welcome bit is a problem, as members can't see if they even got any PMs, let alone when they last visited. vBulletin put it there for a reason -- because forum members use it.

Folding does need to be emphasized as in 6.3 days we'll be #30 now, losing another spot as there's few folders.
