Question

I Recentaly installed the Asus PC Probe Software on my Windows 2000 O/S. It pops up a few times a day showing that my CPU fan is 0 for a few seconds. On the graph it doesn't show it and the temperature doesn't move, it seems to be just off long enough to make the software pop up. Should I be worried? Should I get another CPU Fan?

NO you should probably NOT worry, NO you should probably NOT get another CPU fan. Asus PC Probe is notorious for doing this. You may want to consider using MBM (Mother Board Monitor).

This question and/or similar has been addressed countless of times on this forum, if you want to read the entire Asus PC Probe saga, I suggest, you do a search on this forum and the old read-only forum which link you may find on the main page of this web site.

Good Luck.

ShaMan is correct. I had tried all of the Probe versions up to .08 and they all would intermittently tell me that one of my fans had stopped running, which was never true. Try http://www.mbm.livewiredev.com/ for MotherBoardMonitor, which is free ware and very easy and versitile to set up. Have never had problems with MBM. Version 5.05 was just released today.
