| Okay this really sucks....i'm heartbroken... i have a pIII 800 on a cusl2-c clocked to 966mhz....everything has been going fine for the past 2 weeks.....i turned off my computer for about 5 min today....when i turned it back on i smelled something burning... so i looked inside wondering what the hell it was and it was my radeon card....it's normal speed is 183mhz but i clocked it to 200mhz...it's been working fine at that speed since i got it...also my motherboard was fried..my cpu however was unharmed...i'm not sure if it was the videocard that fried my mobo or vice versa....my voltage was 1.75 and my cpu was around 107 deg F...BAD BAD VALENTINES DAY....

| that sux, get on the horn to Asus and ATI, RMA those things, Some peepz on here have the direct RMA number for Asus. And Im sure you could find ATI's. That is if you cant just take it back to wherever you bought and get a replacment, Also DO NOT tell them you were overclocking ANYTHING. Good Luck. Sorry to hear about your computer -defrag

| Hey, sorry to hear about your fried equip. But I'll tell you, I think its a good thing that they will ship you a new card and credit you when you return the burnt one. They have to have some security there. I got a PIII700E from Accubyte that had 4 to 6 bent pins on it. When I called they indirectly accused me of bending them. Only bending I did was to straighten them back out. I know better than to force a cpu into a socket. So I have been running it for a while and it seems to not be as strong of a cC0 as most, so I think maybe it was used or something wierd. Accubyte said they'd try to RMA it to Intel and Intel might ship me a new one or might not. And I'd have to have no cpu for the whole process. They wouldn't even put one on my credit card until I returned the funky one. So I decided to forget it. I can't deal with 2 weeks w/o a computer for uncertain results. Maybe Intel would ship me a special reserved cA0 just my luck. Not trying to slam Accubyte, I'm sure most if not all would do the same. And I did get a cC0 for damn cheap.

| Be sure to check all of the voltages on your power supply before you plug in a new motherboard. It may be a failed powersupply. I recently had the 3.3V fail to 4.4v in a powersupply and it fried my motherboard. If I had simply replaced the motherboard without checking, I might have fried two motherboards. I replaced the powersupply with an Enermax 330W and am quite happy with it.

| Yeah. One thing that is mostly an afterthought is the PSU. Definitely get a good quality PSU. A good investment! Personally, I have a PC Power & Cooling 425 W unit. Quite happy with it since I run my PC 24/7. |
