| CNPS9500-Cu vs. XP-90C The battle of all battles..... ok ok sorry. Which one would help me STAY cooler at 4Ghz (socket 478, 3.2E at 3.92-4.0Ghz) under load the best, all things being the same.... See my sig for details on the rig. My XP-90C works pretty well as is. But I am greedy and want more airflow Thanks! jeeka.

| Depends on the fan you have on the XP-90C.

| i use a 9500A and its better than the XP-120 i had, but its much louder. IF you dont care about noise, a Vantec Toronado will REALLY help you out, my P4 2.8 gets to 3.6 on an SP-94 (old version of XP-90C) and a tornado!

| If you want to keep it cool. Look at watercooling. Although Panaflo has started to make their fans with tachs built in now.

| Since you all ready have the XP-90 just get another fan with more airflow, should be under $10, that's what I like about the XP-90 if the fan goes out just replace the fan not the whole heatsink...just my 2 cents.... ![]()

| thats a good point! Water cooling is great, but its a PITA from my experience, too much effort for not enough gain, that being said, i didnt use it for extreme OCing, it did however keep my chip super cool under really high VCores!

| John64 you are right. Watercooling is not for the faint at heart. On average, I spend 3-4 hours preping my watercooling system, checking of leaks and such before I even power up the computer. And even then I have had such slow leaks that the water evaporates before it can pool, I just come in and the pump is caviating. Air cooling on the other hand is for the most part clamp it down and power it on. But back on topic, another option is to buy at 120mm to 90mm adapter and get the 220 cfm delta. But at that point you might actually rip the heatink off of the processor. j/k

| haha, that would be a nice setup. For me, it was simple to setup and use, it was just entirely too much effort for a system i didnt make use of really. I might get a silent loop for my next rig, but thats a big maybe.

With that delta you might have to tie it down to the desk so it won't take off... ![]()

| I suspect that if you got 3 of them and had pretty much a bare computer with a LANBOY, it might just take off. Edit: I found the perfect fan here But really you have a very nice performing heatsink, there are not that many out there that can beat its performance.

| I just installed a CNPS9500AT on a P4C800e deluxe last night. This is a LGS775 only kit but I used some leftover parts from a 7700cu to mount it. All went well accept that the fan connector has 4 pins and the mobo has 3 but this can be overcome. I'ts alot smaller than the 7700cu it replaced ...
