Yes I have lots of as5 = 2 tubes.

After my last post I decided to try one more time. This time I made sure I placed just a small bead (size of rice) on the center of the chip. I then put on the heatsink. I noticed that the clips snapped into place quite easily. Other times I had to try several times. I powered on and temps showed 51C-cpu, and 29c-mb in the bios. Used to be 65 and 42c respectively. I booted into windows and installed Asus Probe. Temp were at 49c at start then went down to 42C for the cpu. The mother board temp were 30c. In windows these used to be 55c and 37c. So cpu went down by 13c and mb down by 7c. Been that way since yesterday morning. Today I burnt a copy of my unattended cd for this pc. Temp rose to only 45c!!!!! Before it used to shoot up to 70c.

Current temp = 43C cpu and 32c mb. Current Ambient temp = 80F.

So i think I can live with those temps for now as last night ambient temp went up to 89F and no increase in pc temp.
