| The joys of dust busting Procedure performed: 1. Cleaning my intake fan filter 2. Vacuuming my case, using a piece of cardboard to avoid direct contact between the cleaner and the components. 3. Using a can of compressed air on the various fans, the motherboard and the graphics adapter, and some hard to reach places. 4. Vacuuming again to capture the dust displaced by the compressed air. Results: Before: CPU 40 °C idle / 64° C full load; MB 40 °C idle / 40 °C full load After: CPU 38 °C idle / 58 °C full load; MB 32 °C idle / 33 °C full load (edit: temps at 226 FSB) ![]()
