I have a p3 700e@933@1.65v. I just finished running a 3dmarks loop for 3 hrs w/o any problems. Even though It would appear to be stable, later I loaded up counterstrike and it locked up after about 5 minutes. What could this mean, more voltage? Is my NIC not able to handle the overclock? My temps I think are fine 29C full load and mobo 23C. Any other possible suggestions?

Well, I just did some more testing@1.65v and ran 3dmarks with prime95 running in the background and still no crashes. This is a way more intensive combo then counterstrike. I'm wondering why counterstrike would crash that one time, and this wouldnt. I don't really want to raise the vcore unless i'm posotive that's the solution.

Smile voltage

hi , You can,t expect to overclock without raising the vcore , did you run the 3DMARK in demo or benchmark mode?. You should run the benchmark at default looping for a couple hours. What are your other specs (vidcard ,memory etc)?. Are the temps reading correct? and how did you get them , Asus Probe or else ?
Cant say much without the knowing the rest of your setup. Good luck !

Good news, bumped it up to 1.7v and now it seems stable after playing counterstrike. I'm going to loop 3dmarks for a few hours now just to make sure. Not bad in all for a 700e cbo stepping I guess.

Sounds good, 1.70 isn't much of an increase, I wouldn't give it a second thought. Just enjoy!

I'm using bios ver 1.3 and the temps where taken out of the bios. I use an alphapal35 w/ arcticsilver and I have some insane case airflow.

Cool bios

hi , I would flash to the latest final bios 1006. and then again check the temp , i think the early bios are not giving the correct temps ! Are the temps after upping the vcore still the same?

I agree with Heavenly, Up-grade that bios to the newest final 1006. When I saw your temps, I thought you were running extreme cooling.
