| I tried to overclock my AGP bus from 66 to 88 MHz by setting up the ratio from 133/133/33 to 132/132/44 and the 3dmark2k result were lower with the higher AGP setting ( 7100 and 7500 )!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not good! WHAT DOES IT MEANS ???????????????????? ( sorry if my english is not good... i'm french :-) I don't know what are CPU Latency Timer & Command Per Cycle options in the BIOS.... please give me some help! my config: CUSL2 PIII 866EB GeForce2 GTS32 256 Mo 3-3-3-79 |

| Well you slowed your system down a little and your cpu down about 8 MHz. I think the AGP bus is really only used to transfer large textures from system memory to the video card, so it may not play a huge role in 3DMark2000. Anyone know if I'm right about that? Also, go thru your memory settings in bios for both cases, since sometimes a change in cpu/fsb setup will cause a change in memory timings etc. also. Another thing - maybe your agp went from 4X to 2X when you made the change. [Edited by randyminer on 02-20-2001 at 12:40 PM]

| AGP ratio was set on 2X for all of the tests... maybe the problem will disappear with a new version of the i815e driver from intel (I use winME driver) |

| i think the cusl2 downgrades the memory performance like at the 141 fsb when the pci and agp go over a certain amoubt maybe thats why i think you'll see a better increase in fps when you ramp up the fsb and memory settings thats why everyone wants to get the memory fixes good luck |

| hi , I think that your memory settings are maybe chanched after the increased pci bus speed. 44mhz is a big difference to default 33 mhz . Most pci devices dont like it that high. What are your memory settings , these are very important in gaining performance, it is a combination of all devices at their top to get good results. If you overclock some device to much it will give less performance at the overall.

| I agree with the other posts. Something else in your system must have changed too. The lowering in fsb and sdram with 1mhz can't have made a lot of difference and I sure expect you to have a big performance gain by overclocking you pci and agp like that! You might wanna make extra sure that your mem timings are the same in both test. You haven't told us but if you are running that 33379 mem on 22257 it may have dropped back to default. grtz Asha |

| the RAM was set on 3-3-3 7-9 for all the tests. I think you must be right about the PCI clock.... the latency timer were set on "64" for all the tests maybe 44MHz is too high |
