| Seems like u have a nice performance there! Doesn't Zalman state what's the best way to fit it? In my opinion send then and e-mail to clear this out. Of course u can try on your own to check it...

| Yes, I had a Typhoon. I sold it to someone who needed it more than I did. |

| Remounted it the other way, Idle is now 35. Seems to increase the system temp however. When playing around yesterday I recorded load temps during super pi and 3dmark01 (using ntune's log file) and it didn't go over 49, even sticking 1.5V through it. Also mounted the fanmate and generally tidied up. I'm glad I bought it, it's pretty light, easy to mount, (I didn't need to remove the motherboard to fit it) and performance is noticeably better than any of the other hsf's I've owned.

| Even if Tt BigTyphon may be better i really like 9500 and considering the fact that my last 2 hsf's are Zalman it's really hard to decide... I'll see when both become available here.

| There seem to be major discrepancies in the reviews. Bit-tech got 40C at load for the Zalman, while X-bit Labs had 46-54C. I suppose it partly depends on how you define load. But those are big differences. |

| The bit-tech review didn't seem to test them in a case, which I think would skew the results favourably. I think the x-bit labs review is closer to reality.

| Zalman 9500 just got here too. However its price is a bit on the high side. It costs 70€ while Tt's Big Typhoon is a very cheap @ 48€. Have in mind that my 7700Cu cost 50€. I'll hold my horses for now (considering the fact that i don't have a colling issue with my beast

| I went and had a look at a Big Typhoon yesterday, looks very impressive, nearly put my back out lifting it off the shelf however, lol. €70 is roughly what I paid.
