| Falling Global Demand For CD-R Discs Lessens Willingness To Renew Licensing While Royal Philips Electronics is still negotiating renewals of its Veeza patent licensing with leading Taiwan-based makers of blank CD-R discs, the makers have become more reluctant to accept the licensing terms due to decreasing global demand for CD-R discs, according to industry sources in Taiwan. Leading makers include CMC Magnetics, Ritek and Prodisc Technology, the sources noted. The original Veeza licensing contracts expired on June 30, 2007 and Philips originally extended the licensing for one to two months to facilitate renewal of contracts. However, none of the Veeza licensees have renewed the licensing yet, the sources pointed out. Falling global demand for CD-R discs lessens willingness to renew licensing among Taiwan OEM makers |

| Re: Falling Global Demand For CD-R Discs Lessens Willingness To Renew Licensing I would kind of like CD-R's to stick around, because I like to duplicate my music CD collection for use in my car (so if the binder gets stolen I'm not out my whole collection.) |
