| Intel and Microsoft solve multi-core problems Wintel love-in Intel has said that it is going to spend a fortune to encourage more programming in multi-core chips. The statement was spotted in the Wall Street Journal by Fudo's former boss, Mike Magee, here. What is scary is that the process involves a love-in between old chums, Intel and Microsoft, with the boffins at University of California, Berkeley. As Mike says, Intel is in a bit of a bind. It competed AMD into the ground with its multi-processor wars, but there is no software that can really use them. Fudzilla - Intel and Microsoft solve multi-core problems
