Hang in there darkstar!
There you go! That's what I'm telling myself. Probably next year about this time I'll be starting a new build with Windows 7 final.

Re: Intel slashes quad-core pricing

158 days and no upgrades, think I am starting to break out in some sort of a rash.

Makes me think of what I have spent money on so far this year... and how I could have saved by doing things differently.

$XXXX.XX for flight to send my wife home to Brazil for 3 weeks. Next time I could have her drive ( but there is that canal thing in the way ) or maybe box her up with a few weeks food and ship her.... nah, thats just wrong.

$XXXX.XX for new windows for the house. Could have just bought alot of plywood and foam sealer / insulation and painted windows on the outside.

$XXXX.XX for a new shower install in the basement. This one got out of hand and has cost me much more than antisipated. Maybe could have just bought a used port-o-john and coverted it with alot of silicon sealer and a few tiles.

But really I am fine, no worries..... if anyone needs me I will be in the corner hurting the cat!

LOL!
I hear you on that - I need a new roof, guessing that'll be $XXXXX.XX
Glad my B-Day is coming up - I'll at least be getting a new HD and maybe a newer vid card for one old system (hoping I'll be able to use it to view Hulu and other inet content on our TV). That will probably be it for this year.

Hmm, no cat to take out my frustrations on...

Re: Intel slashes quad-core pricing

Reprive!!!

My wife purchased a eVGA GTX 295 for my birthday. She bought it awhile ago. It has the HDMI output ( why do the newer cards not have one and why do they cost the same? ) .

Do have a question.... will this run on a XFX 780i with a E8500 ( 3.17 ) at stock speeds? I do have a 850 watt PS so that should not be an issue.
