Me either, just listing the difference's, plus HD DVD is region free and Blu-ray isn't. It doesn't matter anymore now!

And in right field we have kONGO. He came out of nowhere with that one!

What would happen if you shaved a bias on the bias, eh!

I forgot about the amount of storage space. The amount of storage space doesn't bother me a whole lot though.

Totally.

Also, it always amazes me how people freak on monopoly issues with MS but when sony does it, and they love to make their own proprietary formats, no one says a word. Shouldn't there be some huge EU conference about this stating that they are going to give billions to toshiba to start up their HDdvd line ! lol

If there had been different region codes for various EU nations, you can bet there would be a smack-down coming. But since all of Europe has the same region code, the EU can't call on it and say it's unfair, because its jurisdiction is limited to EU countries only. As for price gouging, I don't know what the EU can do, but if it turns out to be systemic and an apparent strategy (right now prices went from high to even higher, as opposed to from normal to "sell a kidney") I bet some Sony execs would get a call.

Re: Sony jacks up the price of Blu-ray

I wasn't really serious about wanting the EU to be involved. I personally could care less if a company has a monopoly. Typically I'm of the impression that if they make a product that is good enough and most people adopt it because of whatever reasons, they kudos to them! As much as i would like to see MS offer their OS for even a bit cheaper, i have no right to tell them to. Same goes with Sony. I just don't buy sony hehe
