You're right John, and that's exactly why the takeover shouldn't be allowed... M$ obviously doesn't have what it takes to be a presence on the web and they'd just take Yahoo down with them..

One could only HOPE!!! I truly the world would be a better place if M$ and Yahoo became one, and it makes both of them DIVE! I think that's exactly what's going to happen, M$ will carry the bloatware of the yahoo garbage that installs when people put that disk in for their ISP to EXTREME EXCESS! Then----can you imagine....

We will not only have all this "Live" stuff----but all the Yahoo stuff as well....

and it will all be uncordinated....

and it all won't work with each other....

And it will have certain duplication of effort....

I'm not sure how credible this is, but sounds like a ploy to prevent a hostile takeover or maybe jack the price up even more.

HOLY COW, that would make for a MESS! That's WORSE than M$, and Yahoo getting together, Yahoo, and AOL!!! The BLOATWARE/SPYWARE/ADWWARE/SPAMWARE that would result from that merger would be HORRIBLE! Not to mention installed BY DEFAULT with every major ISP!!! Either way, it could be a GOOD THING, hopefully either the death of Yahoo, and AOL, or Yahoo, and M$. Man, Yahoo is totally SCREWED, I'm starting to like the path this is taking. Hopefully, it will be one big orgy of corporate destruction, crippling all these BLOATED MONSTER internet choking corporations. When are they going to get it??? Toolbars, things that INFEST your computer, CRAMMING advertising down our throats is GETTING OLD! It's not the way to herd the sheep anymore. They're getting wise to this IN YOUR FACE style of HAMMERING everything into our skulls. People want their PERSONAL COMPUTER to be PERSONAL, not some company's prime advertising space. I'm personally beyond fed up with the constant flood of GARBAGE software that does EXACTLY what you don't want it to do. Yahoo browser, yahoo companion, yahoo toolbar, msn messenger, msn search, and the ENTIRE SUITE OF AOL SOFTWARE!!! It can all DISAPPEAR as far as I'm concerned. PLEASE let this be the beginning of the end!!!
