Re: Which Software do you use for Burning

I use "Deepburner" (www.deepburner.com). I have no special reason why, I just downloaded it one day to burn something and stuck with it. It also works on 64-bit Windows with no problems.

Re: Which Software do you use for Burning

Roxio Creator Classic, burns CD's and DVD's without problems and works well with my Plextor. Burns disk to disk and ISO's very easy and fast. Takes like 2 clicks. Makes bootable CD's also. Comes with no bloatware and been using it since my first HP burner. Comes with Plextor drives now.

Re: Which Software do you use for Burning

Nero ver 6 and 7 looks to be the winner for most here.

Re: Which Software do you use for Burning

Windows: Nero 6.6.0.16. I tried version 7 and it kept crashing to the desktop. I also use CDBurnXP on one desktop.

Linux: Serpentine. Three mouse clicks and you're done.

You can upgrade to 6.6.0.18 without a problem. But don't go any higher.

(BTW you can change your nick to rid the abx suffix)

Re: Which Software do you use for Burning

I'm now using Ashampoo Burning Studio 2008 (free cutdown v7) for Data, DVDFab Decrypter+Nero Recode v2 for Movies, IMGBurn for Erasing Rewritables and IsoBuster Pro for Recovery work.

Thanks Trav. I'll upgrade to 6.6.0.18 right away. BTW, I didn't see an edit option for my nick. How do I remove the suffix?

PM a mod for the change. The abx suffix was added automatically during a member database merge routine some months ago.

There used to be a nick editor and a former nicks section. I see they are gone.

The best way is to PM Sanjay and try to find a user name that's to your liking and that is unique (if you're lucky the previous user with that user name may have been gone for years and that one gets a suffix instead).
