Only started using wireless for laptops a few years ago. I have a linksys g model with linux (can't remember the model) and I turned dhcp off and use it as a wireless access point plugged into my 8 port wired router. I think I would get a GB switch or router before upgrading the wireless.

| Re: What wireless Technology are you Currently using Maybe a power surge ... I have had three systems where the onboard nic died in the last few years. I suspect a power surge from the RJ45 in at least one case.
