I have a wireless router and a wireless mouse. I will probably upgrade the router on of these days as it is about 3 years old.

What happned ... try flashing the firmware.

Only started using wireless for laptops a few years ago. I have a linksys g model with linux (can't remember the model) and I turned dhcp off and use it as a wireless access point plugged into my 8 port wired router.

I think I would get a GB switch or router before upgrading the wireless.

Re: What wireless Technology are you Currently using

If you powered down and up again and it doesn't help, maybe just try flashing the firmware ... it might work.

Re: What wireless Technology are you Currently using

Maybe a power surge ...

I have had three systems where the onboard nic died in the last few years.
I suspect a power surge from the RJ45 in at least one case.
