Well....I don't have any major beefs with it....all my things are just cosmetic that will likely get fixed or I'll adjust. I prefer to be the type of person who "adjusts".

One thing I wish you guys (CJ and mods) would start doing though is warning people ahead of time. It just helps people not get so annoyed when they are mentally prepared for a "big change" rather than just suddenly having a whole weekend of no website then it comes back up with everything changed.

I'm not complaining about the change itself, but every time a change has been done, nobody was *forewarned* and then a bunch of people get annoyed. I think you guys would have less headache dealing with annoyed members if you just wanrned them ahead of time.

That's my $.02 rant!

Let's just say there where "matters" which made this upgrade happen sooner than planned and that the exact moment of the upgrade was a bit of a surprise to me too. Maybe the timezone difference was to blame for that too though....

But as long as it is for the better I'm not complaining and I know you are just giving positive feedback to and it is appreciated!!

But I mean if plans for the upgrade are next weekend, post it during the week so people know this coming weekend may be in limbo because an upgrade is happening. CJ did put a message, after a bit saying he was upgrading, but I meant a *warning* a week or so in advance.

There have been plans for upgrading for a long time - ever since vB3 went beta actually! However, the decision to finally do it was made quite hastily, hehe.

I suppose we could have posted about the change a little sooner, but actually not much and no matter much time people would have had to prepare themselves then there would still be complaints . Unfortunately, we can't make everyone happy, but we do try to make as many as possible happy - or at least not unhappy .

The change had to take place and now we're digging into making everything available that was available before as well as welcoming the new stuff that we can do after this upgrade .

At the bottom of the main index buddies are now highlighted with blue instead of being marked with a +. It makes them a great deal easier to spot! We'll try to get this change implemented on Who's Online and the front page as well .

The quick links Buddy list works for me! I don't mind it.
Is there a limit to buddy numbers?
How many can you have?

How many friends could you really have? You are not likely to hit the roof anytime soon .

Sorry - I don't know what the limit is - if there is one!

I'm still a little confused here.

What list tells me which of my buddies are on line and at the same time lists which of my buddies are not on line and filters out names I don't want to see ???

Ask your eyes to disregard the rest .

If you want the list you ask for you'll have to click Quick Links and choose Open Buddy List.

Sorry but there are a LOT of options I like about this new version and reading around here it seems I'm not alone.

Everything still needs tweaking and we are working on it!

The frontpage is using a vBulletin 2.x portal style which wasn't compatible with version 3 so CJ had to tweak things to get it to work. We are looking into other options and we may not stick with the current system!

Every major upgrade takes some time to adjust. Some make an easier transition than others but I'm sure we'll get there!

I have one rule that I go by if something is to be called an upgrade. That is -

Never never ever take anything away from a previous version and call it an upgrade.

The next version can and should improve things yes. But if all the information I want shows on one page and then the new version then puts it on three or more pages, I call it a inconvenience maker for the user and only a money maker for the vendor. Realistic not negative.

Please name a few new options that you like. I haven't really found any new options that I like yet. I'm still trying to surf the Forums the way I like to.

I am patient and realize that unexpected things happen when upgrading. I unfortuneately have to go through it myself on occasion.
